Today is November 13, 2019 -
Shalom! A warm welcome to the Howard and Joshua Herman Education Center, our Religious School at FLJC/CBI. Our dedicated professional faculty creatively engages our students in Jewish Life and Learning throughout the school year.
My name is Neil Garfinkle and I would like to introduce myself. My family and I have been members at the FLJC/CBI since 2007 and I have been asked to fulfill the position of Interim/Acting Principal of the Howard and Joshua Herman Education Center for the 2019–2020 school year.
I am a high school history teacher in the New York school district with more than 23 years’ experience. I hold a BA in political science, an MA in modern European history as well as a license in assistant/principal certification. In addition to my teaching career, I escort a group of 20–25 teachers each summer to Germany and Poland to study the Holocaust.
If you would like to discuss any issues or topics with me, or if you have any questions or concerns, you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org or (201) 796-7884. Our Hebrew school has always been a vital part of our Center and only with all of us working together, can we keep it that way.
Hebrew School’s opening day is Sunday, September 15th!
Looking forward to seeing you then!
Neil Garfinkle, Interim/Acting Principal
